My Reading Log…..So Far

At the beginning of this year I created my goals for the year.  Not resolutions, goals.  One of those goals was to read one non fiction book per month and three fiction.  I’ve done pretty good with the fiction books, not so much with the non fiction.  But, I’m working on it.

I got myself a 2021 Reading Challenge Journal to help me keep track of the books that I’m reading.  It allows me to set up my own challenges and goals, which I really like.  I picked a theme for each month and then on the monthly pages, I track the books I’ve read.  Here is what I’ve read so far this year:

January Theme:  Thriller Books

  1. When I Was You by Minka Kent
  2. Judgement by Carey Baldwin
  3. Fallen by Carey Baldwin
  4. Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno (I just couldn’t finish this one)
  5. Spin by Patricia Cornwell

February Theme:  Historical Romance Books

  1.  The Forgotten Sister by Nicola Cornick
  2. When Calls the Heart by Janette Oke
  3. When Comes the Spring by Janette Oke
  4. When Breaks the Dawn by Janette Oke
  5. When Hope Springs New by Janette Oke
  6. Beyond the Gathering Storm by Janette Oke
  7. When Tomorrow Comes by Janette Oke
  8. When Courage Calls by Janette Oke
  9. Where Trust Lies by Janette Oke
  10. Where Hope Prevails by Janette Oke

March Theme:  Dystopian Books

  1.  Scorched by Harper North
  2. Buried by Harper North
  3. Elevated by Harper North
  4. Canyon by Tom Abrahams
  5. Wall by Tom Abrahams

April Theme:  Mystery Books

The first six books are by Nancy Springer and they are the Enola Holmes Series

  1.  The Case of the Missing Marquess
  2. The Case of the Left-Handed Lady
  3. The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets
  4. The Case of the Peculiar Pink Fan
  5. The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline
  6. The Case of the Gypsy Good bye
  7. The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
  8. Stolen by Carey Baldwin

I’m currently working my way through several non-fiction books but haven’t finished any of them.  But I’m getting there.  Currently I’m reading:

  1.  Hands Free Mama by Rachel Macy Stafford
  2. Walk Your Way Better by Joyce Shulman (she runs the 99 Walks app)
  3. Celtic Christianity by Ray Simpson
  4. How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind by Dana K. White (blogger of A Slob Comes Clean)
  5. The Home Edit by Clea Shearer (also a Netflix series)
  6. The Nesting Place by Myquillyn Smith
  7. Women of the Bible Speak by Shannon Bream

So far, I’ve read some really good books this year and I’m looking forward to reading some more.

  1. You are a reading feen! I am a slow reader, savor every word, so to speak. Takes me forever to read one book. Am currently studying the Bood of Daniel trying to understand his prophecy.
